The government will promote the health care law with its own text in June

 

The Minister of Health, Helena Mas, has said that she expects to have the final document within nine months

 

Government has decided to issue a neutral opinion on the Proposition of the healthcare oblivion law , presented by the social democratic parliamentary group (PS) . According to the Minister of Health , Helena Mas, it is expected that the final text will be published "in nine months". The executive points out that the legislative proposal of the PS presents formal, material and technical deficiencies that will require multiple amendments to be modified.

But he regretted that the PS had not worked together in the preparation of the text. The minister states that "the way the Social Democratic Party has chosen to draw up this text is not ideal", and considers that the proposal is "very undefined and general" and "simplistic". He also indicated that the text is "very similar" to the Spanish model, which has received criticism for the lack of technical definitions .

One of the fundamental differences between the two visions lies in the type of insurance that must be covered. The minister believes that life insurance should be included . In fact, the Executive was already working on a bill on health negligence, which was in the final revision phase and which had been shared with the Association of Insurers and Reinsurers of Andorra . However, the content of this project will not be introduced as such, but will be incorporated through amendments to the PS Bill.
