A total of 133,000 kilos have been sold during this period
The Andorran meat sold this year exceeds last year's figure. This was explained by the Minister of Environment, Agriculture and Livestock, Guillem Casal, who detailed that in the first semester 133,000 kilos were sold, which represents 12,000 more than in the first six months of 2023. In addition, he highlighted that this production is increasingly of higher quality as shown by the fact that in the case of cattle all the heads of cattle sold have been under the quality rating, that is to say that they have reached the market with "excellent quality" , as Casal has emphasized. The minister has made these data public in the presentation of the campaign that is being launched taking advantage of the Andorra la Vella Fair and the Livestock Fair that are being held this weekend and which must be used to vindicate the sector. This is an action that affects the fact that the population knows the brown race of Andorra and that wants to give "recognition" to the race and also to the work done by the sector, which is "well alive", according to Casal . Taking advantage of this campaign, the logo has also been changed to identify the Andorran brunette. To raise awareness of the work done by the sector, a series of educational workshops will be held over the weekend for children aged six to ten.
