The Minister of Culture, Sports and Youth, Mònica Bonell , confirmed today in an interview with Radiotelevisió d'Andorra that FC Andorra will not play at the Stadium National next season. Bonell has assured that Gerard pique 's club could move to Encamp .

This would be as long as an agreement is reached with the Andorran Football Federation (FAF), the minister emphasized that "if they reach an agreement with the Andorran Federation, the club will be very well, and the fans will go to Encamp as they rugby fans now." This decision was taken after the club failed to build its stadium in Borda Mateu de Santa Coloma .

When the presenter Gabriel Fernandez asked him: "Nowadays, if you are asked to review the agreement, will you refuse?" , Bonell replied: "Sure, and we have discussed it with them, I am transparent." Also, when you've been asked directly "Are you sure Andorra isn't playing here next season?" , the minister has been resounding: "No, for sure"

FC Andorra without Stadium next year

The situation of the stadium has been complicated for the club since the owners of the grounds. The new facility had to be built they decided not to sign the lease agreement. This project, which had an expected duration of forty years and a cost of between forty and fifty million euros, was the club's second failed attempt to build its own stadium, after discarding the first option in Encamp for reasons economic

With the 2025-2026 season at the head of the executives, the most likely solution for FC Andorra will be to play at the new grounds of the FAF in Encamp , which are expected to be completed at the beginning of 2025. Ferran Vilaseca , president of the club, he emphasized that although good relations are maintained with the FAF , the final objective of the entity is to have its own facility. In the short term, however, the club is working to find a suitable temporary solution for their league matches.

Finally, Bonell has emphasized that it will be reviewed whether some investments made by the club in the National Stadium can be preserved, but that the heated turf will probably have to be removed: "I wish we could preserve it" .
