Espot respon que els 1,2 milions seran per una comunicació rigorosa i neutra

El cap de Govern ha subratllat que tant els ciutadans com els sectors econòmics requereixen “accions de comunicació rigoroses i neutres”

Andorra Endavant parliamentary group Carine Montaner , questioned this Wednesday in the General Council the management of the Government regarding the communication of the Association Agreement with the European Union , after learning that They have spent 1.2 million euros in this area.

Montaner has stated that "spending 1.2 million euros on communication is like having a gift package but the content is not very important" . In addition to demanding more clarity and transparency in communication in the economic sectors of the country, since " talking with them they are not clear ".

Need to inform

The Head of Government , Xavier Espot , has responded by defending the need not to contrast communication with impact studies, because " they are two different but complementary issues ".

Espot has seen it as an obligation for the executive after the Political Survey of AR+I to inform citizens more about the Agreement with the EU: "67% of respondents said that they were little or not at all informed about the Association Agreement. The Government's obligation is to respond to this concern," said Espot .

Espot has emphasized that both citizens and economic sectors require " rigorous and neutral communication actions ", and has highlighted that sectoral impact studies already exist and have been made available to associations. In addition, the Head of Government has explained that the studies could not be done until the final details of the Agreement, which were closed in December of last year, were known.
